The social determinants of health that have a direct impact to health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are a result of colonisation and associated polices.
The gaps in Indigenous wellbeing are a national disgrace, and encompass life expectancy, justice, education, and health.
All these gaps must be closed.
There should be a national agenda founded in empowered Indigenous communities and services.
